Victorian jewelry was highly decorated by filigree and hand engraving. Alisa's timeless styles are reminiscent of jewelry from the Victorian era in both design and craft, as they are created one piece at a time by skilled craftsmen.
Alisa's history in the industry dates back to her childhood. Her parents independently owned and operated Gem Jewelers in her hometown of Lakeland, Florida, and so she spent her youth behind the store counter, studying customers' needs and desires. She would draw jewelry designs onto napkins whenever she had a spare moment. It took 17 years to turn Alisa's napkin drawings from her youth into actual models. Alisa owes a lot to the jewelry business, as it is both where she found her passion, as well as her husband.
As a mother of two, Alisa values affordable jewelry. As a jewelry designer, Alisa also values fashion. Alisa designs jewelry that fulfills both of these values. “Designer jewelry should be both fashionable and affordable to everyone,” states Alisa. "I saw too many customers walk out of my mother's store unable to buy the pieces they desired because of price. I want to have something in my line for everyone. Every woman and mom should feel great about herself. There is no better way to accomplish this than with a piece of jewelry.”
